Incomplete for date of composition

This is a gentle work based around the simple melody my niece, Marissa Bamford composed. It has resonances with My Sister's Tears for Marissa also chose to end her own life. I have tried to capture a little of her beauty and love in this work and to write it at a level where high school age students can play it. I want them to discuss suicide and not ignore it. I also hope that such discussion will focus on the wonder and beauty of life and not just on the horror that can invade at times.

Sometimes as I review what I have done and I tinker a little. Other times I just close the folder and move on - it's too raw.
